Rakaposhi is a peak in the Karakoram Range in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan. It is listed 27th highest peak in the world and 12th highest peak in Pakistan. It is a point on Karakoram highway named as Rakaposhi Viewpoint, famous as one of the most visited tourist attraction of Hunza Valley. In the regional dialect, Rakaposhi implies “shiny wall”.
Location: It is located in the midst of the Nagar and Bagrote valleys, roughly 100 km in the North of the Gilgit (semi-autonomous Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan).
