National Museum of Pakistan (Karachi) was established on April 17, 1950. The main dictum behind establishing this museum was to research and conserve the art and cultural heritage of the Pakistani nation. The museum comprises of 11 different galleries, most admired among these is Quran Gallery. Here in this museum, visitors can observe Gandhara and Indus Civilization’s sculptural work, Islamic artwork, the ethnological status of cultural groups, old coins and more than 70,000 books etc.
